First recorded in 1965 as "Sandy She Needs Me" (or just "Sandy") during the Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!) sessions. (Youtube).
Rewritten and new lead vocals recorded in 1976 as "Sherry She Needs Me" during the Love You sessions.
Rewritten and rerecorded as "Tricia" for Mike Love's unreleased First Love album.
Rewritten as "Terry She Needs Me" during the Brian Wilson sessions in 1988.

After yet another rewrite, this time with new lyrics by Carole Bayer Sayer, "She Says That She Needs Me" became the first version of the song to make it to release, on Brian's solo album Imagination (see below).
A version was released on the 2013 Made In California boxset which took a 1965 backing track and the 1976 lead vocal (see listen links).
