Bruce Johnston

After playing in a few different bands (including The Gamblers and The Renegades), Bruce became a producer at Del-Fi Records. There he started working with Terry Melcher, with whom they produced bands such as The Rip Chords. He joined The Beach Boys in 1965.

Bruce embarked on a solo career in 1972, during which time he wrote the Grammy award winning song "I Write The Songs". He then returned to The Beach Boys in 1978.
